OakTree Enterprise Solutions Awarded 8(a) STARS Award
Dulles, VA July 1, 2004 - OakTree Enterprise Solutions, Inc. OakTree was awarded the Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS) for their expertise in two functional areas: computer systems design services and computer facilities management services.
STARS, the successor of the Federal Acquisition Services Technology (FAST) contract, provides an efficient vehicle for OakTree to provide federal agencies with the technology solutions they need to maintain a quality IT environment. "The STARS contract will support the growth of our Federal division," says Fredric Weinberg, Director of Professional Services. "We have wasted no time in marketing our professional services to various government agencies. Some contracting officers seem relieved that they don't have to do the excess paperwork to award OakTree a contract and being utilizing our professional services."
With the STARS award, government contracting officers are allowed to make sole-source awards up to $3 million and OakTree's rates for computer systems design and computer facilities management services have already been negotiated.
